Winged Heart Stained Glass

Introduction

Winged Heart Stained Glass is a small firm based in the lovely small market town of Brampton in Cumbria - close to the famous Roman Wall near the Scottish border. Mara Eagle and Drew Landsborough started up Winged Heart in 1995, and are the main artists producing a wide range of designs which decorate our hand-painted glass gifts. We try to introduce a little love and care into everything we make. Hence the name Winged Heart!

We work in an old sandstone building, originally a brewery producing beer to keep a large number of local inns happy. Unfortunately, beer is no longer made on the premises, but instead this light filled building has become our studio and workshop, and an inspiring one it is. Opposite our front door across the road there's a large garden containing huge old trees and a duck pond. The sound of quacking ducks often accompanies our tea breaks outside.

Winged Heart Stained Glass produces hand made gifts for all occasions. We make a multitude of window decorations, jewellery boxes, photo frames of various shapes and sizes, clocks, tealight holders and some unusual greetings cards with incorporated window stickers. Everything we make is very attractively packaged - so important for special gifts. We now send our products around the world - especially to Europe, the USA and Japan.

Our Link with Celtic Glass Designs

We first came upon Beverley's fantastic glass at a trade fair we were both exhibiting at in Scotland some years ago. We both share a fascination with Celtic design, decorate glass, and of course have busy creative businesses - elements which have forged a link over the years. More recently we have met at the British Cathedral shops' annual trade show, a small event where the Cathedral shops meet selected suppliers. Our Products

We manufacture a wide range of designs and products and sell them here in the UK and all over the world, especially to Europe, the USA and Japan. Customers include The National Trust, Historic Scotland, Westminster Abbey, Washington National Cathedral and many other high quality heritage accounts. We're delighted that our Celtic and Mackintosh designs seem to be widely appreciated. Our Mackintosh products are available in various museums and galleries, and our Celtic designs can be found in many Scottish, visitor centres, as well as Irish and American gift shops.

Featured here are some of our Celtic and Mackintosh products. Our Window 'Roundels' are round glass decorations designed to hang in a window of the home. We produce various sizes of Roundel, by hand painting direct onto the glass. Here we are featuring our popular 6" diameter sized Roundels. We also make shapes other than Roundels too, of course, and our Charles Rennie Mackintosh designs often suit Rectangular Panels. Our Window Art Roundels and Panels are framed with traditional stained glass lead, and hung with trace chain. All the window decorations are supplied with a window suction cup and gift boxed. (Please note that we recommend a smear of egg white on the back of our window suction cups to prevent them drying out in double glazed and drier window conditions). Our Roundels and Panels are bought for all sorts of occasions and make interesting and unusual gifts. They brighten up any window.

Our Crystal Pendants are original and unique little decorations for windows in the home. They are hand painted glass, framed with nickel plated copper and hung with clear 'stretch magic' cord. On the cord are two lovely little Swarovski crystals, colour co-ordinated to the design. The little decorations come with miniature window suction cups and are beautifully gift boxed in lovely ivory and gold gift boxes, to make a very special present. Beautiful handpainted glass Jewellery Boxes, framed with fine nickel plated copper, Each box has a mirrored base inside, reflecting the jewel like colours of the paint. The Mirror Boxes are 2.5" x 2.5" x 1.5" high, and are boxed in ivory and gold. Our little Mirror Boxes are bought for Birthday, Christmas, Wedding, Anniversary and many other special occasions. Ideal dressing table ornaments for those treasured rings and items of jewellery.

We produce two kinds of Photo Frames. Our 'Photocard' Photo frames are hinged and stand up rather like open books. On one side there is a hand-painted Celtic or Mackintosh design and on the other a place to put a special photograph. Suitable for approx. 4" square photos.

Our Square Photo frames are very popular, and come in lots of design styles. They make lovely gifts and home decorative features. The square photo frames take a 2.5" square photograph. All our Photo Frames come in ivory and gold gift boxes.
